What a cure means to Nick
Nick is a Parkinson’s UK supporter
This may seem strange, but it would mean redundancy and that is brilliant. As someone who would love to see the huge change to so many peoples’ lives that a cure would mean, I would be genuinely delighted to have to find a new job (it’s sadly not like there won’t be other causes that need a fundraiser). I am a big fan of science and it has so much potential to have a really positive impact on people’s lives. The research that Parkinson’s UK funds is a really important part of why I fundraise, why I organise events for people to take part in and raise money, why I meet with community groups, businesses and supporters, but in the front of my mind is always a desire that we find a cure and we have achieved what we promised to do. It would be the best feeling in the world to get the sack!
